Russian President Vladimir Putin will “win unhesitatingly” assuming he chooses to run for one more term in the following year’s political decision, Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov told CNBC.
“There has been no proper declaration yet. In any case, I have most likely that assuming he advances his appointment, he will win certainly,” Peskov said in messaged remarks to CNBC. “Society is united around the president.”
Neither Putin nor the Kremlin has affirmed whether the long-term president will run for an additional six-year term in office.
