WAUKEGAN, Sick. — A rural Chicago man who told his alienated spouse “In the event that I can’t have them neither can you” confessed however deranged Friday to three counts of first-degree murder for killing their three small kids, an examiner said.
Jason Karels, 36, of Round Lake Ocean side will be condemned to life in the Illinois Branch of Rectifications without the chance of parole, Lake District State’s Lawyer Eric Rinehart said.
Karels owned up to killing by suffocating 5-year-old Bryant Karels, 3-year-old Cassidy Karels and 2-year-old Gideon Karels on June 13, 2022.
