Elderly man fatally stabs wife after fight over pancakes, officials say

An older Washington, D.C., man was captured Thursday and accused of killing his better half after a contention over flapjacks, government investigators said.

Steven Schwartz, 85, is blamed for lethally wounding his better half, Sharron Schwartz, 81, at their home Sunday, the U.S. Lawyer’s Office for the Locale of Columbia said.

Steven Schwartz “didn’t have any desire to eat the flapjacks she made and betrayed her,” the U.S. lawyer’s office said in a proclamation declaring the capture.

Police answered a report of a wounding at 3:40 p.m and tracked down Sharron Schwartz with wounds and Steven Schwartz with self-caused wounds, as per the Metropolitan Police Division in Washington and court records.

Both were taken to a medical clinic, where Sharron Schwartz kicked the bucket.

As per a police oath recorded in the locale criminal case, Steven Schwartz said that he has a repugnance for food, his significant other was attempting to cause him to eat and there was a contention.
