The conveyance organization is moving the bears on a FedEx Panda Express plane that will land in the Chinese city of Chengdu Thursday morning. The flight left on its 19-hour trip from the Washington, D.C., region Wednesday evening.
Tian and Mei Xiang inhabited the Smithsonian’s Public Zoo and Protection Science Foundation more than twenty years. Xiao Qi Ji was brought into the world there a couple of years prior. They had been borrowed from China.
The plane the organization utilized for the gig was a “committed and custom-decaled” FedEx Express Boeing 777F, the Smithsonian Public Zoo said.
FedEx told FOX Business it has “avoided potential risk important to give a protected and agreeable flight” for the three bears.
