Following Texas Governor Greg Abbott, other Republican states are now joining him in opposing Biden’s border invasion and writing a letter to the president and people of the United States.
Abbott said, “The agreement between the federal government and the states has been violated.” “It is the constitutional duty of the executive branch of the United States to enforce federal laws that protect the states, including current immigration laws.”
Abbott went on, saying, “President Biden has refused to enforce those laws, and has even violated them,” before charging Biden with betraying his pledge to uphold immigration laws with integrity.
“President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border, rather than prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry,” the letter read. “The result is the illegal entry of their mass parole into the United States through the destruction of Texas’s border security infrastructure with the waste of tax dollars.”
He went on, “States shouldn’t be left at the mercy of a lawless president.”
According to Glenn Beck, Abbott is correct.
Glenn explains, “He’s saying the federal government has no authority because they didn’t fulfill their duty; he’s pointing out where it covers this and how it covers this.”
“The federal government should be held accountable, not Texas,” he goes on. “Now is the moment for the states to unite.”
