Kamala Harris Vows to Speak Out Against Gaza Suffering, Urges Netanyahu to Secure Ceasefire Deal

Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has pledged to continue speaking out against the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. In a campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harris expressed her “serious concern” over the devastating impact of the nine-month conflict, highlighting the human toll and the need to end the war.

Harris, who met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, reiterated her commitment to Israel’s security while also acknowledging the need to address humanitarian concerns in Gaza. She emphasized the importance of balancing support for Israel with the urgent need to address the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.

The Vice President and Democratic Presidential candidate urged Netanyahu to finalize a US-backed ceasefire and hostage deal, emphasizing the need for a peaceful resolution. “It is time for this war to end and end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination,” Harris stated.

Harris’s comments come as she navigates the complex dynamics of the Israel-Hamas conflict, aiming to address the humanitarian crisis while maintaining strong US-Israel relations. Her commitment to speaking out against the suffering in Gaza and her call for a peaceful resolution have been seen as a significant stance in the ongoing conflict.
