Meet the duo that travels the Tri-State area volunteering as Santa and Mrs. Claus.

During the Christmas season, Bubba Herren made sure that everyone had the opportunity to meet the big man.

Herren has been giving back to non-profits in the Tri-State by dressing up as Santa Claus for almost 20 years.

“Ho, Ho, Ho!” Herren remarked on Friday to kids at the Hopple Street Neighborhood Health Center.

He stated, “We do it anywhere from 12 to 15 times a year.” “You get asked a lot of questions when you’re free.”

Herren’s wife Joni portrays Mrs. Claus, and the meetings are a collaborative effort.

The custom was passed down to Joni six years ago by Herren’s first wife, who tragically died of cancer in 2016.

“We just need to give to these kids, love them, and make them feel special,” Joni stated.

The pair spent the afternoon giving gifts to children and listening to their Christmas wishes.

One child asked Saint Nick where he should put his cookies and where gifts will be left after telling Santa that he didn’t have a Christmas tree at home.

Herren instructed him to arrange the cookies on a table so that gifts might be swapped for them.

Many things are taken for granted by us, stated Herren. “We are not the only ones who are blessed.”

“It also makes our hearts happy to bless anyone.”

According to Joni, the lesson of their Christmas spirit is love: “Love people.” adore kids. You also receive affection in return.
