The NBA says it is exploring an allegation that Oklahoma City Thunder watch Josh Giddey had an ill-advised relationship with an underage young lady.
In a since-erased post, a mysterious virtual entertainment client said a young lady who is seen with Giddey in recordings and photos was a secondary school junior at that point. The web-based entertainment account has since been deactivated.
Giddey, an Australian resident, turned 21 in October.
“We’re investigating it,” Michael Bass, a NBA representative, said Friday.
Giddey had no remark when addressed Friday at training. “Better believe it, I mean, I figure out the inquiry, clearly,” he said. “Be that as it may, there could be no further remark at this moment.”
When asked once more, he said: “I get the inquiry folks. I totally comprehend you all need to be aware of it. Be that as it may, only for this moment, I have nothing to say.”
Thunder mentor Imprint Daigneault said it was an individual matter and that he had no remark.
Giddey is averaging 12.3 focuses, 5.7 bounce back and 4.5 helps for an Oklahoma City group that is starting off on a 11-4 foot.
A first-round pick in 2021, Giddey was named to the All-New kid on the block second group that season. Last season, he found the middle value of 16.6 places, 7.9 bounce back and 6.2 helps. At the World Cup this mid year, he found the middle value of a group high 19.4 focuses for an Australia group that went 3-2.
