Bengaluru, July 25, 2024: Actress and director Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy is set to appear in the upcoming Kannada film “Family Drama”, directed by debutant H P Akarsh. In an interview with PTI, Murthy expressed relief at not having to direct this time around, allowing her to focus on her performance.
“Family Drama” is a dark comedy scheduled for an all-India release on July 26. Murthy described the film as a comedy of errors, featuring quirky characters and a storyline that revolves around a family scheming to kill someone.
“It’s a great relief to just be an actor this time,” Murthy said. “I could be more focused on my performance and making sure that I am in tune with my co-actors.”
Murthy praised the director’s clarity and vision, saying she was excited to work with like-minded people. Although she enjoyed acting in “Family Drama”, Murthy expressed eagerness to return to directing soon, building on the success of her directorial debut “Achar & Co” in 2023.
“Family Drama” boasts a cast of mostly newcomers, including Abhay, Poornachandra Mysore, and Ananya Amar, among others. With its unique blend of dark humor and quirky characters, the film promises to deliver an entertaining experience for audiences.
