Sydney Sweeney claims that Angus Cloud, a co-star in Euphoria, is still not feeling dead.

Sydney Sweeney has discussed how her co-star Angus Cloud’s passing affected her and her fellow cast members.

The 26-year-old revealed that Cloud’s death in August was “such a shock” in an interview with Glamour.

The actress claimed that the actors “were constantly on the phone with each other crying” when they learned the news.

At the age of 25, Cloud—who portrayed drug dealer Fezco in the adolescent drama—passed away from an unintentional drug overdose.

The popular series on HBO depicts the stories of a group of disturbed high school students in a brutal manner. Filming for the third season, which will air in 2025, will start the following year.

“I don’t think it’ll truly feel real or hit me until we’re filming and I won’t see Angus on set,” Sweeney stated to Glamour.

“[At least] when we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other and we’re there for each other, just in a different way than we’re able to when we’re all in very separate places in the world,” said Angus Cloud and Sydney Sweeney in this photo from the 2021 GQ Men of the Year Party. In our field, it’s fascinating to see someone die because, in a way, they never truly die.”

Sweeney, who is also well-known for her part in White Lotus, paid homage to Cloud on Instagram not long after she passed away.

“You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same,” she wrote in a note.

“This heartbreak is real, and I wish we could’ve run 711 and given each other one more hug.” You have my undying love.”

According to Cloud’s relatives, he had “intensely struggled with this loss” following the death of his father.

Zendaya began her career on Disney Channel series like KC Undercover and Shake It Up.

Euphoria, which debuted in June 2019, gained popularity fast and was nominated for best drama series at the 2019 Emmy Awards.

Zendaya portrays Rue, the primary character, who is a 17-year-old heroin addict who recently graduated from treatment.

Cassie is an adolescent with a reputation for promiscuity, and Sweeney, who plays her, said the part was an emotional release for her.

“Cassie means a lot to me and is the character I’ve portrayed that is the closest to me, especially in season one. However, it’s similar to therapy in that I can express myself so freely there that I feel liberated when I get home.”
