A missing Florida lady was found dead in her alienated spouse’s stockpiling unit, specialists said.
Shakeira Yvonne Rucker, 37, was found dead Saturday in a capacity unit at the Self Stockpiling on Wiggins Street in Apopka, the Orange District Sheriff’s Office expressed Saturday on Facebook. The sheriff’s office is exploring Rucker’s case as a crime.
“This isn’t the update we needed to be giving you all today,” Sheriff John Mina said at a news meeting Sunday, adding that the story has had a ton of “exciting bends in the road” throughout the past week and covered numerous wards.
Specialists had recently completed the process of looking for Rucker in a space close to Bounce White Runway in Mount Dora on Saturday when they got an emergency call from somebody at the Self Stockpiling revealing “a smell radiating from one of the units,” Mina said.
Orange District sheriff’s agents found Rucker dead in the unit from obvious discharge wounds, Mina said. He said a full post-mortem is in progress.
Authorities said the capacity unit had a place with her alienated spouse, Cory Slope, the excellent suspect, and that he has not been agreeable in the examination.
Rucker was killed at the capacity unit, Mina said. No rationale was declared.
“He is the suspect. We are not searching for any other person. He will be accused of the homicide in the long run for this situation,” Mina said.
