Last Friday, after receiving reports of a car that had tumbled down a cliff on Sonoma County Highway 1, the California sheriff’s office deployed its helicopter for patrol. After the squad raced to the region north of San Francisco, the driver was taken to safety by two tactical flight officers who were lowered into the canyon.
