Wife of Sen. John Barrasso passes away following cancer battle

brain cancer from glioblastoma,” a press release stated.

“Bobbi is at peace and at home with the Lord after a valiant fight with cancer. Bobbi was not just a loving wife and mother, but also a strong leader, an outspoken supporter of Wyoming, and a friend to all who knew her. We sincerely miss her. Sen. Barrasso issued a statement, saying, “On behalf of our entire family, we thank everyone for your prayers and continued support as we remember her and grieve together.”

Since mid-2007, Barrasso has held the position of U.S. senator. He is the chair of the Senate Republican Conference.

After a little over 16 years of marriage, the senator and his spouse were together. A press release from 2008 stated that “the couple exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony at the Brown family church in Thermopolis on New Years Day.”

When we first met as teenagers at the University of Wyoming, Bobbi Barrasso’s contagious smile, inherent warmth, and giving spirit lit up rooms. She will be sorely missed. “At this time, my prayers are with @SenJohnBarrasso and the Barrasso family,” stated Wyoming GOP Sen. Cynthia Lummis.

“Kelly and I are devastated to learn of Bobbi Barrasso’s passing. We all know how much Bobbi meant to John, and that behind every great man there is a greater woman. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said, “We’re praying the Lord will comfort John and the Barrasso family as they grieve this immense loss.”
