A 30th anniversary commemorative set of stamps will include the Spice Girls.

You’re in luck if you’ve always wanted a Spice Girl stamp.

As they commemorate their 30th anniversary, Royal Mail is releasing a collection of 15 stamps honoring one of the most popular pop groups in history.

For the first time, a female pop group will be the focus of an entire stamp series from Royal Mail.

“That’s Girl Power!” said the Spice Girls, who claimed they could never have imagined it happening when they first came together.

The group known by the names Baby, Posh, Ginger, Sporty, and Scary Spice—Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Melanie Chisholm, and Melanie Brown—came together in 1994.

Images from their performances between 1997 and 2012, including the 1997 Brit Awards and the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, are featured on the ten primary stamps.

Additional pictures feature Victoria Beckham performing in 2008 at Madison Square Garden in New York City as part of The Return of the Spice Girls Tour.

Geri Halliwell-Horner receives her own stamp as well, as shown in her famous Union Jack outfit from the 1997 Britannia.

That year, Ginger Spice, as she was then called, made headlines when she planted a kiss on then-Prince Charles during a Prince’s Trust charity event.

Since late April, a portrait of the now-King Charles has been featured on all regular Royal Mail stamps.

Five additional stamps from the Spice World photoshoot feature individual photos of the band members on a little sheet.

In 1996, with the publication of their hit first single Wannabe, “Spice mania” erupted across the globe.

Say You’ll Be There, 2 Become 1, Who Do You Think You Are, Spice Up Your Life, and Viva Forever were among the other nine UK number one successes they had.

The band joins The Beatles (2007), Pink Floyd (2016), Queen 2020, The Rolling Stones 2022, and Iron Maiden 2023 as the only other musical acts to be included in a dedicated stamp series.

“We are ecstatic to be honored by Royal Mail, with some of the most recognizable and significant music icons,” the Spice Girls declared.

Every Spice Girl wants to play Glasto, says Mel C.
Since their formation as a group in 1994, The Spice Girls have been a force to be reckoned with, according to David Gold, head of external affairs and strategy at Royal Mail.

“We are proud to celebrate the most successful female music group ever seen, not only for their music but their enduring influence over so many aspects of our lives.”
