Following a conviction for domestic abuse, Marvel fires Jonathan Majors.

Marvel Studios sacked Emmy-nominated actor Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty of abusing his ex-girlfriend.

Majors assaulted and harassed British choreographer Grace Jabbari during an encounter in March, a jury in New York concluded on Monday.

A Marvel representative declared that the company would no longer collaborate with the disgraced actor after the verdict.

When Majors are sentenced in February, they could spend up to a year behind bars.

The conviction is a startling fall from grace for a well-known Hollywood actor who was anticipated to appear in several Marvel movies.

Majors, 34, was a villain in the Marvel movies as Kang the Conqueror. He starred in the second season of the Disney+ series Loki, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which aired in February of last year.

He was supposed to star in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but Marvel had already pushed back the film’s release date. He was scheduled to reprise his role in the sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars.

It’s unknown if Marvel Studios intends to cast a another actor in his place or remove his character from the movies.

After his incarceration, the release of Magazine Dreams, a forthcoming movie that was tipped to be an Oscar candidate, was also delayed.

As soon as the news leaked, the US Army also pulled the Creed III star from a significant promotional campaign.

After a fight over a phone in a rental car in New York City, his ex-girlfriend Ms. Jabbari suffered a cut behind her ear, bruises, and a broken finger.

“Wish I was kissing you right now.” This is when the incident happened.

According to Ms. Jabbari’s testimony, the movie star seized his ex-girlfriend, pulled her arm behind her back, and struck her in the head in an attempt to get his phone back.

He was found guilty of both harassment and assault by careless bodily harm.

On accusations of aggravated harassment and assault with intent to inflict bodily harm, however, the jury decided not to convict him.

Majors “still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name,” according to a statement released by the actor’s attorney following his conviction.

The day of sentencing is February 6. A fresh protection order mandating that he not communicate with Ms. Jabbari was also issued by the judge.
