NFL announced plans for another “Night of Pride with GLAAD,” furthering its advocacy of LGBT issues.

Just a few days before the Super Bowl next month, the NFL announced that it will host “A Night of Pride with GLAAD,” furthering its efforts to advance the LGBT agenda.

Advocacy group GLAAD is pro-LGBT.

“The NFL family and partners will come together to highlight the league’s commitment to LGBTQ former and current players as well as advancements in the future of LGBTQ inclusion in professional sports,” the NFL said. “A Night of Pride with GLAAD, presented by Smirnoff, also features a panel discussion with NFL legend Carl Nassib on how inclusion in sports promotes acceptance for LGBTQ people. Starter and Google are among the evening’s additional partners.”

The NFL has hosted events of this nature before.

NFL Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Jonathan Beane stated, “Our Third Annual A Night of Pride with GLAAD is yet another strong step to accelerating acceptance and demonstrating the NFL’s unwavering support of the LGBTQ community.” “We are eager to keep up and bolster our efforts to guarantee that football is accessible to all.”

For many years, the NFL has supported and celebrated the LGBT movement.

The league released a video in 2021 with statements such as “FOOTBALL IS TRANSGENDER,” “FOOTBALL IS GAY,” and “FOOTBALL IS LESBIAN.” The video caption said, “FOOTBALL IS FOR EVERYONE.”

“The NFL collaborates and offers financial support to a wide range of LGBTQ community organizations, such as GLADD, the Trevor Project, Athlete Ally, the National Gay Flag Football League, and Covenant House. Their combined efforts are realized through a variety of venues, social media campaigns, PSAs, charitable donations, and more. The NFL has stated that it also collaborates with regional LGBTQ+ organizations in relation to NFL events, such as the Super Bowl, in each host city.
